· Institutional ads: to promote an institution or an enterprise, such as a research institution or organization (e.g., research lab), a manufacturer, and a publishing house, which aim to reinforce the establishments or social recognition of them.
· Product ads: to promote advanced technology application and technology transfer; to show or display advanced equipments, appliances, and new materials.
· Information ads: to provide introductory information of databases, journals, or books as well as their subscribing information; to provide meeting information; to seek potential business partners (e.g., participators of an expo or cooperators of a business project).
· Recruitment ads: to recruit students and to offer job opportunities.
